Our Role, Responsibility and Privilege

Jesus said to them "Take off the grave clothes and let him go." (John 11:44)
Is it possible that we, The Church, have become so complacent and apathetic with the subject of homosexuality that we have all but written off men, women and families impacted by homosexuality, resulting in a huge absence of ministry to those in crisis?
Are we, The Church (them), not called to preach the gospel to the whole world, including the homosexual? That is exactly what Paul purposed to do in the Book of Romans. Paul was commissioned to preach the gospel to both Jews and Gentiles because the gospel alone is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:15-17).
Tragically, a ton of rhetoric is wasted on the inverted nature of homosexuals and of the inability to change homosexual behavior. The truth is that no sinner can change his or her life apart from the power of God offered in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are all "dead in our trespasses and sins and by nature children of wrath," (Ephesians 2:1-6) and the only solution is to be born again by faith in the provision made at the Cross of Jesus Christ. The gospel alone has the power to transform lives and also to empower people to a life no longer surrendered to the lust of the flesh but for the glory of God.
Since when has the inability to change behavior, any behavior, been a reason to condone behavior? The Apostle Paul's reminder to the Corinthian Church who were redeemed out of the vileness of Gentile unbelief is clear when he states, "Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God" (1 Corinthians 6:11). Note, he does not say, "such are some of you," but such were some of you! Meaning, there is hope, mercy, grace, forgiveness, and a new life for any man or woman struggling with same-gender attraction. But such is found only in the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. If homosexuals wish to be forgiven, they can be. If homosexuals wish to change, they can. However, their journey must come by way of the Cross.
The Church must see in its task of reaching those bound by homosexuality as helping those who convert to become full and integral disciples of the Lord in the local church. Unfortunately, some error greatly in making homosexuality an unpardonable sin, or at least a sin forgiven but not forgotten. The Church must extend a compassionate hand to those who would be saved by the power of God, and disciple them into the fullness of Christ and in the fellowship of believers.
Christians, all Christians, need to befriend and witness to the homosexual with love, compassion, and wisdom in that those we are trying to reach will respond to the saving grace of God. However, I would be remiss if I did not offer a caution. Today, especially when it comes to homosexuality, The Church must be careful not to adopt the customs of the world. What The Church tolerates today, its children will practice tomorrow. In an age of accommodation and compromise, The Church is in extreme danger of ceasing to make holiness and truth the motivation for its existence.
Therefore, all of us at His Way Out Ministries invite you to partner with us in taking a courageous and intelligent stand against the vital and moral issue of homosexuality. At His Way Out Ministries, we are purposed to halt the erosion of morality in The Church. Below you will find information regarding our 2010 Teaching Modules designed to raise awareness, educate, and encourage the Body of Christ to minister to those who struggle with homosexuality.
We, The Church, must not behave as though we do not possess a blueprint for life. We, The Church, have a sure word of truth which is not only able to save, but also to equip for every facet of life.

On a regular basis we discuss the sexual problems of man and women in the Church. We know that many Christian men and women are fighting an intense battle with homosexuality and pornography.
The men, women, and families who come to His Way Out Ministries have to get painfully honest and truly intimate with Christ. There are no shortcuts and no quick fixes. Transformation, healing, deliverance, and restoration are not packaged in a workbook or promised in twelve short weeks.
At His Way Out Ministries we get deep into the heart of individual Christians and acess the real transformational power of the Holy Spirit. We view the current crisis in the Church as an opportunity rather than a problem. For 15 years, it has been our privilege to guide people into a deeper, more intimate relationship with Christ. That's what we do.
So, while others may be wringing their hands (or denying the problem) we are knee-deep in the process of helping broken people get well by the power of Jesus Christ!

Food Ministry to Those Impacted by AIDS
AIDS profoundly impacts one's life whether that person has been infected by it or they are a family member or a friend of someone who has. The social stigmas, fears and especially the "aloneness" associated with AIDS makes it oppressive to live with. "IT'S ABOUT LIFE" is a crucial part of His Way Out Ministries. Because His Way Out Ministries is committed to compassionately communicating God's heart through a caring Christian community, His Way Out Ministries will be a receiving house for non-perishable food items. This will assist those with AIDS to maintain a balanced diet and good nutrition. Two major considerations in food donations for folks with AIDS are speed and ease of preparation. An appetite sometimes doesn't last long and the item has to be readily accessible and speedily prepared for the patient to be able to enjoy it.
